Over ten episodes, the podcast explores areas of American life where some sort of bargain between us – either explicit or implicit – no longer seems to stand.
Jyoti Jasrasaria, co-host
Jyoti is in her third year at Harvard Law School and is a graduate of Harvard College. She grew up in Massachusetts and is an alum of President Obama’s campaign and administration. She spent the past two summers working on civil rights litigation with LDF and MALDEF, and her greatest life accomplishments to date are winning the 2015 White House Guac Off and the 2017 Bell in Hand Karaoke Final.
Helena Swanson-Nystrom, co-host
Helena is in her second year at Harvard Law School. She grew up in Chicago and previously worked for Mayor Rahm Emanuel. Last summer, she returned home to work on the Cook County State's Attorney's policy team and as a policy analyst for Chicago CRED. Helena received a BA from Macalester College and was the recipient of "most improved player" on her 4th grade AYSO soccer team.
Mareva Lindo, producer
Mareva is a Chicago native, lifelong collector of folk music, co-founder of The Midwest Sing and Stomp, and one half of the vocal duo Spitzer & Mareva. She graduated with a BA from Smith College and produces The Archives Podcast at the Old Town School of Folk Music, where she documents the stories behind rare archival recordings from their Resource Center.
